WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a form of energy healing to support emotional and physical wellness. A Reiki practitioner uses their hands and gentle touch to support your body’s ability to improve its energetic flow, create balance, and promote healing.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A SESSION?
Before the session the Practitioner and Recipient should discuss wants and expectations for the session.
An In-Person Reiki Session begins with a fully clothed recipient lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably in a chair. The practitioner will place their hands on the body at key points or anywhere they feel they can support the body’s natural energetic flow and functionality. Reiki is then sent through light, non-invasive touch from the practitioner to the recipient.
For a Distance Session, the recipient should find a quiet and calm environment to receive. You do not necessarily need to be laying down, but it is best to not be doing anything strenuous.
During the session you are encouraged to rest, relax and receive! Some people may feel warm, experience tingling or reflexes as the body settles into treatment.
After the session, there is a debrief between Practitioner and Recipient on any feelings and impressions experienced. For Distance readings, I provide feedback via email.
WHAT ISSUES DOES REIKI HELP WITH?
Anxiety, depression, stress, muscle ache, fatigue, joint pain, and inflammation to name a few. Reiki can also support healing post-surgery, during and after cancer treatments, or after other major health events. If you are not sure if Reiki can support your journey, I encourage you to reach out and discuss it with me/your practitioner of choice.
WILL REIKI HEAL MY PHYSICAL AILMENT?
Although I believe our bodies are incredibly intelligent, I would caution against seeking out Reiki as a “cure” . Always seeks professional medical opinions and treatments, physiotherapy, a good diet etc. Reiki is an amazing complementary modality to traditional medicine.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A TREATMENT?
Every four to eight weeks is my personal recommendation, but do what feels best for you! I equate Reiki to going for a massage… getting tune-ups is ideal before something big happens!

No problem! Reiki can be done through your energy (aura) field and/or through distance practice! No touch required.

I get you. But let me reframe it for you if I may.
You know how some days you feel “stuck”? So you jump around, dance, or go workout to shift how your body/mind feels? Well, Reiki is like that! It is a way to shift the energy within you - but with the support of a practitioner. Sometimes in life, our emotional or physical body can give us issues and we struggle to shift it on our own. A Reiki session can support you when you’re feeling like you need to change your mindset, your physical state, or encourage healing.
